Sub-Topic: Alcohol

What is wrong with drinking Alcohol or Liquor? Good Question that will be answered on tonight’s post. If you have not been following along then please read post 20 first before you read this one. We all now that alcohol is what is called a “grown-up” activity. But is it really? Without further ado let’s get right into it.

Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen. Let us take a look at two scriptures for tonight.

What is wrong with drinking Alcohol or Liquor?

There are so many things that are wrong with this but let us take a look at scripture to see what scripture has to say about it. If you do not have a bible then I suggest you get one and follow along with me. Remember you have to know these things for yourselves.

1 Corinthians 10:23-24
“I have the right to do anything,” you say–but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”–but not everything is constructive. 24. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

Even though the Bible do not prohibit drinking alcohol, we should first understand a few things before you can come to the conclusion that drinking alcohol is alright. In this scripture, it is saying even though you have the right to do anything then know everything is not beneficial nor is it constructive. Now pertaining to alcohol, Let’s first discuss the beneficial and constructive aspects of drinking alcohol. We all know that drinking alcohol will lead to liver failure and possibly more. Alcohol cannot be beneficial to our physical bodies nor is it beneficial to our health. When it comes to “Is alcohol constructive” then we have to know that alcohol is not constructive either, why? Because alcohol cannot get us smarter, or make our judgment better. It is not useful because alcohol is a stimulant that causes the body to become destructive in action and words. So is alcohol wrong, yes. Because it gets us out of the will of God. Alcohol gets us into a mind frame of the world where you can do many harmful things to other people and yourself. I know, “What about responsible drinking”. Let this be known there is NO such thing as responsible drinking because it has no benefits nor does it have any positives for our bodies and others around us. There are a lot of things in this world that are fun to the flesh but is deteriorating to our health which is our physical bodies and our real bodies which are our spiritual selves.

Although this is true we are permitted to be able to drink a little bit of wine because the Bible says that a little bit of wine is good for the stomach. The bible also prohibits being drunk and God have said that no drunkard shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, so it the drinking worth your place in heaven? Now we are not to get carried away with wine. Drink a little after dinner or for a celebration. There is nothing wrong with that. Remember this sin comes when we commit the action, therefore, we are to not put ourselves into positions to commit sin. If you know that you are not married then do not stay in a house with women and not be married It’s common sense. When you are around someone in the same house without marriage then it brings temptation. In the Bible, this is called “Fornication” when you live in the same house as a couple and you are dating. Just because a sin is a sin no matter how small does not mean it is okay for anyone to commit such sin. As a child of God, we will identify the wrong to get ourselves lined up. What are you going to do, ignore God or obey God?

This weeks question: Do you think drinking wine is okay as long as you do not get drunk? Remember drinking beer and etc. Is wrong, next we will find out what the Bible says concerning hard liquor or anything else that is not wine.
Only you can answer this question for yourself since the bible does not prohibit drinking. Some say it is wrong others say its fine but with restrictions, so after getting some knowledge on the matter then what do you think? Comment below.

Next week we will be answering more questions about alcohol and why it is wrong as children of God to drink alcohol. It is already known that you cannot live life by your own decisions because then anyone can identify that you have not yet allowed the holy spirit to work in you to change you. Until next time Be Safe and Be Blessed everyone.
