A Preacher’s Misconception
Topic: Living to please God
Sub-Topic: Judgement 3
Last week, I hope you have learned a lot. It’s very interesting that many people use the term “Judging” without understanding it further. My job this week is to help you learn more, so you can become knowledgeable and know the difference.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespasses against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.
This week will be continuing on part 2 of the sub-topic “Worldly Judgment”. If you have not read the last two posts then please read part 38 & 39 before you read this one. If you do not have your bibles ready then I suggest you get one and follow along. Without further ado, let us take a look at tonight’s scripture.
1. Worldly judgment- Wrong Judgment, This type of judgment is made from two different sides.
• Making a judgment between to unsaved people
• Someone who is saved but is making a judgment against someone who is not saved.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in thy own eye? How can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
There is a reason why this verse was chosen and the second bulletin is what I consider worldly judgment. How can a saved person help someone else if they are in the same position? This is not possible, thus it becomes worldly judgment. This is also called hypocritical judgment. As Christians, we should be careful about what we say to one another because it may just be worldly judgment. Anytime you are helping someone then make sure you are not in the same position and make sure you know why it’s wrong for you or anyone to be in such sin. To give an example of this, A man is committing fornication but when he realizes someone else is committing fornication then they want to help them to get out of it. You cannot help someone else while you’re still in the same predicament.
Always examine yourself before you try and help someone else. Today has been a relatively short post, but I hope you have learned from it. Next week will be going into the first bulletin on a righteous judgment. Until next time be safe and be blessed, everyone.
