A Preacher’s Misconception
Topic: Living to please God
Sub-Topic: Judgment 4
Last week, we learned about the last sub category for worldly judgment. This week, we will begin learning about a righteous judgment. The next two posts are really important so I hope you will pay close attention.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespasses against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen.
Righteous judgment-Correct judgment and again we have two different types of judgment.
- One save person judging another
- One person who is saved judging another who is not saved on the basis of the bible.
Tonight we will be going over the first bulletin. To me, this seems widespread in the church and not in a good way. Truth is this is righteous judgement. Let’s get to the scripture for tonight to find this out. If you do not have your bibles then I suggest you get one and follow along with me. There are many similar scriptures in the bible but tonight we will be going over this one.
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
After reading this scripture I think you should be able to understand what it means and why it is pertaining to the first bullet of righteous judgment. There have been many people leaving the church because of this. The problem is not God or the church, it’s the church congregation. If that church is not doing right then move on to another church. Remember there are a lot of false doctrines out here and especially in these last days. Do not allow a church congregation to stop you from going to church. We are supposed to be in the church building. Now as pertaining to tonight’s scripture, we as children in Christ are supposed to help others and lift each other up when we see each other caught in any transgression. Everyone in the church is responsible for each other. We are to restore each other in a spirit of gentleness. This is one problem that leads many to leave the church, but even they were wrong and tried not to restore the person gently, then be advised that it is a problem with the person and not the message. Too many people are focused on the delivery, instead of the message. What needs to happen is that someone needs to explain to them that they are not helping in a gentle and loving way. This is a righteous judgment because they are going by the word of god and at the same time helping to keep someone else on the right track. How would you feel if you are one of the people that have contributed to someone going to hell? A church is not a church unless they get rid of the “Feel good message”. A church that corrects someone’s behavior is a real church. Are you restoring your fellow brother or sister in Christ?
Next week we will be learning about the last bulletin. We are just about done wrapping up this topic. I hope you have learned something this week, until next time, be safe and be blessed, everyone.
