“A Preacher’s Misconception”
Topic: Understanding sin
Sub-Topic: Is sin mandatory?
I am happy to be back once again. I really do enjoy making these posts and helping other people understand the word and to help them to come to the knowledge of the truth.
My father god in heaven I thank you for allowing me once again to be able to spread your word, Lord Jesus. Please continue to bless those who read and take heed to tonight’s message. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
During my last post on April 27th, I spoke on separating from the world. Tonight I want to go a different route. Let’s take a look at scripture for tonight. Romans 3: 23 “For we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. I have noticed that a lot of people have misinterpreted this scripture to continue to live in sin. What this scripture really means is that we all will have times when we sin. It does not mean that we have to sin, It means we will sometimes fall short not all the time but sometimes. As I have said before I do slip up like everyone else but I know the difference. Let’s look at one more scripture for tonight. Genesis 4:4-7 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” In this scripture, it’s talking about Cain and Abel. Abel was doing the right thing but Cain didn’t understand that when you do not sin then you will be blessed. Since Cain continued to sin he ended up killing his brother Abel. Don’t you know that the reason why Cain killed his brother Abel was that he was jealous and did not realize that he too would have been blessed and accepted but since he did not realize this, the evil that he was in stayed and eventually ruled in his heart and mind to eventually killing? We all have a choice to sin or not to sin. Remember this, you also have a spiritual mind and every day we must pray that God keeps us in our spiritual mind because the mind of the flesh will cause you to get out of the presence of God.
The message for tonight was for you to understand that sin is an option not mandatory. Please continue to read and to learn also to apply this in your everyday life to make yourself a better person in Christ. Thank you for reading, Be Blessed and Be Safe Everyone! 🙂
