A Preacher’s Misconception
Part 52

Topic: Living to please God,
Good or Bad 9
Sub-Topic: Faith

Tonight we will be going into the fruit of faith. Trust me when it comes to hope then it is more than what you think. I don’t want to take a long time with the introduction so let’s get right into it.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespasses against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as its written, The just shall live by faith.

Faith, what is hope? It is assumed that belief is only about believing in something. I want to expand on this, but first I want to give you the biblical definition of faith, according to scripture. Hebrews 11:1 Now faithfulness is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is having hope for something without the ready appearance of evidence. There are many reasons and ways we can show confidence.

To name a few. Faith is evidence of believing you are healed without given a clean bill of health. Have you ever been in a situation where it seems so wrong that you were expecting the worst? How can you have faith in something when in the natural things appear so dark? The one thing that we have to understand is that we do not operate by way of the world.

If we have operated by way of the world, then we would many bad or even worse things, this can be explained later. We engage from the spiritual realm, not the natural realm. When it comes to faith, then our faith should be working in the divine field. For miracles and blessings to occur in the physical, then it has first to be manifested in the spiritual. I will also explain this later, but it is an even more profound lesson on the connection between the spiritual realm and the natural.

To wrap up tonight’s post, I want to explain to you even more of what faith is. I know there are a lot of people that say they believe god but do not have faith. They think that they do have faith, but I want to let you know how to have faith. Faithfulness does not mean to just believe in god. Hope goes even further than that. Hope is in gods word. What I mean by this is that to have faith then you have to get into the word of god because it builds up our confidence and our belief. The Bible has countless stories about certainty. One story is of the prophet Daniel. Daniel was sentenced to go into the den of lions for a certain amount of days. Before he went into the room, Daniel prayed to god to ask him to close the mouths of the lions so they would not devour him. As calm as Daniel was, I could not be like him. I would be scared as I don’t know what, but the beauty of faith is that Daniel had genuine belief because he was not scared at all. Do you have the type of trust where you can get into gods word and speak into existents based on God’s promises concerning your situation knowing that God will provide? I know there are times where I have been worried and scared even when I thought I had faith.

Faith is even more than what we all think and know. I would love to dive more into the subject of faith into the future so be on the lookout for it. Tonight we have gone through a little bit of faith and what belief is. I hope you all learned something from it and as much as I have. Please continue to read and to grow in Christ with me and at the end when Christ comes then we will not have anything to worry about in heaven. Stay true to the word and until next time be safe and be blessed, everyone.
